KITSON-PANTANO, Raphaela

Programme Director, Euroscience Open Forum

Holder of a Neuroscience-Genetics PhD from Edinburgh University Medical School and a Masters in European Politics and Administration from the College of Europe in Bruges, Dr. Raphaëla Kitson-Pantano’s aim is to bridge the gap between Science and Society. Raphaëla is currently ESOF Programme Director at Euroscience in Strasbourg. Euroscience is the European Association that seeks to bring scientists from all over Europe together to help foster a European Scientific Identity. In Euroscience, Science is a global term meaning natural sciences, mathematics, medical sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities and the arts. Previously, Raphaela worked both as a researcher in Science and in Politics. Indeed, between 2003 and 2008, she was involved in scientific research and teaching at Edinburgh University and in 2008 she worked in the Scottish Parliament for MSP Robert Brown. Raphaela, who is British, French and Italian, is a European enthusiast.”
