Science-based policy involves producing high-quality scientific evidence, building bridges between the producers and users of scientific evidence, and incorporating these evidences into policy and practice. From epistemological uncertainties to multilateral knowledge flows to cultural values both structural and contingent factors influence these steps. This session will explore the different limits to science-based policy to help defining the context for a good co-evolution of science and policy.
