MUELBERT, José

José Muelbert graduated in Oceanology from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Masters in Biological Oceanography by FURG and Ph.D. in Oceanography - Dalhousie University (Canada). He is currently Associate Professor in FURG and deputy director of the IO-FURG, having coordinated the Graduate Program in Biological Oceanography from 2002 to 2006. He served on the Scientific Committee of the Program Executor GOOS International Oceanographic Committee of the United Nations for Education, Science and Culture in 2002-2007, and was reappointed in 2012. He has experience in Oceanography, with emphasis on interaction between Marine Organisms and Environmental Parameters, acting on the following subjects in the South Atlantic: ichthyoplankton, processes physical / biological, and transport modeling of fish larvae.
