DALTON, Gordon

Chair, International Consortium of Research Staff Association

Gordon Dalton is a senior research fellow in Beaufort Research, Ireland, specialising in ocean energy economics. Gordon is the Chair of the International Consortium of Research Staff Association (ICoRSA) , the international officer of the Irish Research Staff Association (IRSA) and the vice-chair of Cork University branch, UCC, of the  association, ARCS. Gordon graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2002 with a degree in Electronic Engineering, and completed a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering in Queensland, Australia in 2007. His thesis topic was ‘Perceptions, performance and economics of renewable energy for Australian tourism accommodation. Gordon started his position in Beaufort Research in 2008, funded under the Charles Parson Award. Recipient of Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation Award, 2 year grant, €350,000, for the Navitas techno-commercial software product.
